Movement Snacks: Small Doses, Real Change

You don't need an hour. You need a dozen small moments scattered through the day. Here's how to find them.

The idea is simple: attach a little movement to things you already do. The kettle, the stairs, the end of a call. Over a week it adds up to more than most people get from a single workout.

A few to start with

  • 01Deep squat while you brush your teeth (hold the sink if you need to).
  • 02Take the stairs two at a time, then one at a time, slowly, on the way down.
  • 03Sit on the floor to read instead of the couch. Change position often.
  • 04Hang from a door frame or bar for ten seconds whenever you pass one.
